Violin by Yuji Kaneko 2020 Japan

This violin delivers a smooth, bright tone with focused power, perfectly suited for soloists who seek a sound that projects over any ensemble. Its upper register sings with silvery brilliance and striking clarity, allowing every note to be heard. In the middle range, the instrument presents a warm, vibrant character that responds quickly under the bow. The violin features a slightly thicker neck, providing a secure grip with a  fine wood grain for a natural, tactile feel. The instrument has been strung with Pirastro Perpetual strings, ensuring optimal projection, tonal complexity, and quick response. The violin’s look is completed with pernambuco fittings, which enhances sound quality and feel. .


Yuji Kaneko was born in Matsuyama, Japan. After he graduate college, he moved to Italy and studied at National School of String instrument making in Cremona. After he spent 12 years from Cremona, he opened  his workshop in his hometown. He was awarded a Gold Medal for violin workmanship and tone 2018 Mittenwalt Violin Making Competition.
