LAVS Return Policy


Return Eligibility

LAVIOLINSHOP.COM accepts returns only for items shipped within 14 days from the delivery date. All returns must have a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (“RMA Number”) clearly marked on the outside of the package. Returns without an RMA Number may be refused.

Return Shipping

We recommend using a reliable carrier such as FedEx, UPS, or DHL and insuring your package.
LAVIOLINSHOP.COM is not responsible for damage that occurs during return shipping.
Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs.


Condition of Returned Items

All returned items are carefully inspected upon arrival at our workshop.
If an item shows signs of wear, use, or damage beyond normal trial use, we may deduct the cost of repair or depreciation from your refund.
In cases of significant damage or missing components, the refund may be refused entirely.


Refund Processing

Refunds are typically processed within four (4) weeks of the return shipment date. This timeframe includes:

  • Shipping transit time (up to 14 days)

  • Product inspection (up to 5 business days)

  • Bank or credit card processing (up to 5 business days)

Refunds will be issued to the original method of payment. For purchases made via money order, wire transfer, or Western Union, a company check will be issued.


Non-Returnable Items

The following items are non-refundable and may only be exchanged if defective:

  • Gift cards

  • Accessories (e.g., rosins, strings, shoulder rests, mutes, and any opened items)

  • Books, sheet music

  • Items returned with damage, missing parts, or considered non-resalable


How to Return an Item

  1. Contact us at 1-213-471-2124 (Mon–Fri, 10am–6pm PST) or info@laviolinshop.com to request an RMA Number.

  2. Clearly write the RMA Number on the outside of the return package.

  3. Package the item securely with all original materials and packaging. Items must show no signs of use or wear beyond trial use.

  4. Ship the return using a reliable carrier. The package must be postmarked within 14 days of delivery.


Refusal of Delivery

If you refuse delivery, miss a delivery appointment, or provide an inaccurate or undeliverable address, this will be treated as a Refusal of Delivery.
You will be responsible for both original and return shipping costs, plus any additional charges incurred.


Damaged Items

We take great care in packaging to ensure safe delivery. If your package arrives damaged:

  • Please contact us immediately.

  • If visible damage is evident at delivery, we recommend refusing the shipment.

  • For damage discovered after opening, please notify us as soon as possible so we can assist you with a replacement.
