Jake (Jiwon) Han is Head Luthier at Los Angeles Violin Shop, joining in 2015 and specializes in acoustical adjustments, restoration of fine instruments, and new making. His award-winning violins are sought by advanced players and studio recording profesionals for their nuanced and beautiful sound. Jake has received multiple honors from the Violin Society of America, including a 2022 Silver Medal for Tone (Violin) and certificates for Tone (Viola 2022, Violin 2018). This violin, numbered No. 36, is built on a Stradivari-model and displays Jiwon's signature varnish and tasteful antiquing throughout.
