Violin by Hyunjung Park & Kwanghoon Lee, Cremona 2025
Hyun-Jung Park, born in 1990 in Incheon, South Korea, began violin studies at age seven and performed with various orchestras before turning to violin making. In 2011, she enrolled at the Istituto Stradivari in Cremona, winning awards at the A.N.L.A.I Competition and the 8th Sesto Fiorentino. After completing violin and bow-making programs at Academia Cremonensis, she joined Amorim Fine Violins, specializing in replicas and antique-style instruments. In 2024, she won the Best Varnish Award and a Gold Medal at the 17th Triennale International Violinmaking Competition.
Kwang-Hoon Lee, born in Seoul in 1993, developed an early passion for visual arts and classical music. Introduced to violin making in 2017, he apprenticed in Korea before enrolling at the Istituto Stradivari in Cremona in 2022. While still a student, he earned an Honorable Mention at the Kaminski Violin Making Competition (Poland) and the Gold Prize in the Young Luthier category at the A.N.L.A.I Competition. He now works as an independent maker, collaborating with Cremonese luthiers and Hyun-Jung Park while continuing to participate in international competitions.
