His early years were inspired bu Stradivari model, yet it is clear that Derazey strove for individuality in his works. By 1844, Derazey has begun to produce over 600 instruments a year with a later favored Strad-Vuillaume model and experienced broad popularity in England. His style is most noted to have an artistic combination of sound holes with waist-curve - an original quite distinct from the overall Mirecourt school.
