Violin by Etienne Perrin, Mirecourt vers 1840 Cert
Etienne Perrin lived and worked in Mirecourt, France from 1830-1865. Interestingly, his violins are often branded as thought they were made in Paris, rather than Mirecourt. Perrin loosely followed Stradivari models for his instruments, imparting his own style for the sound holes and scrolls. Perrin's isntruments typically have a strong sound under the ear of the player.
