Violin by Albert Aug. Heberlein Jr, 1925 Amati model

Compact Amati model covered in a glorious coat of brown to honeyed yellow oil varnish- the upper register has plenty of projection and the sound is focused and bright throughout- there is plenty of range to explore with this special violin- appropriate for an intermediate to advanced student.

Albert Theodor JR., along with his brother Paul Wilhelm, took over their family workshop in 1897, continuing a legacy begun by their father, Heinrich, a respected member of the Markneukirchen violin-making community who had also taught at the local violin-making school. Their workshop continued producing fine instruments into the 1940s, even after Heinrich’s death in 1910.
