Violin Bow by Gary Leahy, Ireland 2025

Gary Leahy first recieved training with John Harte at Antonio Strings in New Zealand, where he developed an interest in bows. He moved to Ireland in 2002 to study bow making with Noel Burke and established his own workshop in 2005. Apart from a year in Paris, he has been based in County Mayo ever since. Leahy’s bows draw inspiration from French bow making of the late 18th up to mid-19th centuries.
