Viola by Virginia Morricone, Los Angeles 2020 - 16 1/8"

Well-Balanced Brightness for Professional Players

This well-balanced viola is ideal for players seeking an all-round instrument with versatility and presence. Its overall character leans toward brightness, offering a clear, forward-facing sound that projects easily. The upper register speaks with clarity, and directness; the A and D strings share a matching timbre, allowing melodies to flow seamlessly across the strings. The lower register has a husky darkness that provides a strong tonal foundation, complementing the instrument’s bright upper range. Responsive and powerful, this viola performs exceptionally well in fast passages and dynamic playing.

It is currently strung with Evah Pirazzi Gold strings for added brilliance and features elegant Bogaro & Clemente fittings.
