Viola by Min Sung Kim, Cremona 2021 - 16"
Power and Brightness for Solo Players
This viola produces a sound that is both bright and rounded, with remarkable power—ideal for soloistic playing. Its overall character leans toward brightness: the upper registers speak with exceptional clarity, while the middle and lower registers gain added complexity and richness, all without sacrificing brilliance.
The sound texture is smooth and satin-like, with a strong, ringing resonance that naturally activates and enhances the sound of nearby instruments. This viola is well- suited for rapid passages and expressive solo work as it is particularly quick to respond.
It is fitted with elegant boxwood fittings, including the chinrest and pegs, and features a smooth neck for enhanced playing comfort.
