We are proud to host Authenticate LA 2024, our annual event dedicated to the expert authentication of fine string instruments and bows. Held at our Los Angeles headquarters from January 25–27, 2024, this event offers musicians, collectors, and dealers the opportunity to gain clarity and confidence regarding the origin, maker, and value of their instruments.
Our authentication team conducts thorough inspections to determine authenticity, maker, and date, offering personalized appointments to ensure the highest level of service. When identification is confirmed, we facilitate the creation of certificates through the renowned Ateliers Vatelot-Rampal and Jean-François Raffin in Paris. These official certificates take approximately 1–2 months to arrive and are internationally recognized for their authority and reliability.
Participants also have the option to consign their authenticated instruments or bows through LA Violin Shop, giving them the confidence to sell with a verified pedigree and current European market valuation.
