Steps for Selling Your Instruments or Bows
View the steps below to simplify navigating the selling or consignment steps
1. Get Initial Evaluation
- Send us good pictures of your instrument (front & back) via email.
- Include photos of any documents (certificate, letters,etc) and your personal explanation how you acquire the instruments.

After the initial review of the photos, Owen Lee will request that you bring your instrument or bow for an in-person inspection if we think it is interesting.
2. Certify the Authenticity & Choose Your Selling Options
After Owen Lee’s inspection, Owen will work with authentication experts to certify the instruments and bows
After experts guarantee the authenticity, Owen will give offer to the owner (targeted price, possible repair and restoration, certificate of authenticity)
There are three ways in which we might work with you to sell your instruments or bows:
- Consignment
Both parties sign a consignment contract. (from this moment LAVS insurance will cover condition and state of the instruments and bows) - Direct Selling
At Some environment LAVS offers to owner to buy instruments outright - Private Sales
Owen’s large international clientele base and has successfully found buyers for fine instruments and bows.
